Protestors in Germany demand resignation gov't in Iran

The march rally held in Berlin, Germany, demanding the resignation of the authorities in Iran, continued until the night hours on Saturday, Report informs.

The march started from Großer Stern square in Berlin. At the rally, various slogans against the Iranian authorities were raised, and participants demanded the immediate release of the imprisoned activists.

Azerbaijanis living in Germany also took an active part in the rally. Farhad Majidzadeh, an activist who has lived in Germany for many years, said that thousands of people are forced to leave Iran every year because the government has made the country unlivable:

"We are tired of the oppressive regime. The final limit was the brutal killing of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini because of her headscarf. The authorities will no longer be able to prevent protests in Iran. We will continue protest marches and rallies in Iran and abroad until we achieve the government's resignation. We want a democratic government in our country."

According to him, last week, thousands of people protested the killing of Mahsa Amini by the Iranian morality police in Berlin:

"More people came to that march than we expected. We decided to appeal to the city administration again for a rally. Thankfully, they accepted our request and we were given a place in Berlin's Großer Stern square. Not only those living in Germany, but also our compatriots from other European countries joined today's march rally."

Majidzadeh noted that they are thinking of holding more rallies in Germany and other European cities.
