Polish farmers are organizing blockades at 270 locations across the country as part of a mass protest planned for March 20, Report informs via Polish media.
According to the media, 40 locations will be blocked around Poznan in the northwest of the country. It is currently planned to block the north and east entrances to Warsaw.
“It will be more powerful than before. Farmers have a very big problem since there is no help from the state,” said one of the protest leaders, head of the Solidarity of Individual Farmers Association Tomasz Obszanski.
Farmer protests have been taking place in Poland since the beginning of February. The main demands of the protesters are to stop the import of agricultural products from Ukraine to Poland and to abandon the EU’s environmental plans, which involve achieving zero emissions by 2050.
