Prince Albert II of Monaco has condemned the principality's first‑ever terror attack, which injured several people, including Ukrainian businessman Vadym Iermolaiev.
According to Report, citing the official statement from the Prince's Palace, Albert described the explosion as "a shock for the entire Monegasque community."
The head of state praised the "exceptional work" of public security services and expressed solidarity with the victims, their families, and residents of the affected district: "Princess Charlene, my family, and I wish to convey our sincere condolences and unwavering support to them all."
On Monday evening, an explosion in Monaco injured at least three people, including Iermolayev.
State Minister Christophe Mirmand told AFP that the blast was most likely a terrorist attack: "Such an incident is unprecedented in the history of the principality."
