Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President-elect Donald Trump will make some kind of secret deal to stop Iran from 'developing nuclear weapons.'
"Late one night, Putin calls Trump on a private, secure line, telling him he has a secret deal to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons. Putin has convinced Iran to agree to a 5-year pause on any nuclear weaponization so long as Trump dissuades Israel from attacking," former US National Intelligence Council advisor Matthew Burrows told the publication.
According to John McLaughlin, who served as CIA director from 2000 to 2004, the most unexpected "black swan" event of 2025 could be the resolution of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. He suggests that measures will be taken in 2025 to establish Palestine as a separate independent state.
Another expert, Washington attorney Nathan Park, named South Korea's nuclear weapons testing as a possible phenomenon of the year. In his opinion, South Korean authorities will announce their withdrawal from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
The publication also predicts a possible market crash involving artificial intelligence, which will cause panic and catch the Trump administration unprepared.
Additionally, Politico believes that the elected US president will allow 13 counties in Oregon to join the neighboring state of Idaho, where taxation is lower.
