Poland will form an additional anti-aircraft regiment in the south of the country equipped with anti-drone systems.
According to Report, Polish Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said in a post on X that the 87th Anti-Aircraft Regiment will be established and based in Brzesko. The regiment will consist of approximately 1,000 military personnel and will be equipped with missile, air defense and counter-drone systems.
"This morning, I signed a decision to establish the 87th Anti-Aircraft Regiment. The 87th Anti-Aircraft Regiment will be based in Brzesko," the Polish minister said.
Kosiniak-Kamysz did not specify the particular types of weapons that will be deployed with the new anti-aircraft regiment.
