Philippines interested in importing Russian petroleum products

Manila is interested in importing Russian petroleum products, Philippine Ambassador to the Russian Federation Igor Bailen said, Report informs via Russian media.

According to the ambassador, the Philippine authorities are ready to discuss importing oil products in October within the framework of the Trade and Economic Commission.

“As far as I know, there have been no supplies of petroleum products yet. But there is definitely such interest. There are certain issues that we are now resolving,” Bailen shared.

Prior to this, the Brazilian Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Rodrigo de Lima Baena Soares, reported that Brazil had increased the purchase of Russian petroleum products.

Brazil itself produces more than 3 million barrels of oil per day. But the country produces heavy raw materials, and there are few plants for processing them. Therefore, Brazil imports gasoline and diesel fuel.
