Pfizer expects to sell COVID vaccines for $15B this year

Pfizer expects to generate $15 billion, or about a quarter of its total revenue this year, from sales of its COVID vaccine co-developed with German partner BioNTech, Report informs, referring to Reuters.

Pfizer aims to make two billion doses of the COVID-19 vaccine in 2021. Pfizer Chief Executive Albert Bourla said that the company wanted to be conservative in its target and is working on numerous initiatives to exceed that output.

Pfizer forecast 2021 sales between $59.4 billion and $61.4 billion. The company raised both ends of its full-year adjusted profit forecast by 10 cents and now expects to earn $3.10 to $3.20 per share.

In the fourth quarter of last year, vaccine revenues were expected at $462 million, but the real fugure was $154 million.
