The EU Delegation organized the latest in a series of seminars as part of the Get the Right Skills campaign on June 13, Report informs.
The seminar on the topic “Work of the future and future skills” with the participation of young people and representatives of EU member states is expected to draw attention to the skills that will be in demand in the labor market in the future.
“Various initiatives and programs funded by the EU have created a wide range of options for the individual and professional development of Azerbaijani youth. The EU, both within the Erasmus student scholarship program and within vocational education programs, is helping to ensure that Azerbaijani youth are able to realize their full potential. This campaign demonstrates the availability of wide opportunities for developing skills that will help to get a good job and high earnings,” said EU Ambassador to Azerbaijan Peter Michalko.
He also stated that close cooperation has been established between Azerbaijan and the EU in the field of education, noting that funds invested in knowledge and skills are investments in the future.
The EU has declared 2023-2024 the European Year of Skills, the goal of which is to give new impetus to lifelong learning, enable people and companies to contribute to the environmental and digital transition, support innovation and competitiveness.
As part of this campaign, a series of seminars and trainings were conducted aimed at supporting the younger generation in planning their careers and education, as well as in creating startups and opening a business.
