Pentagon inks contract with General Dynamics for technical support of Abrams tanks

The US Department of Defense has signed a $33.8 million contract with General Dynamics to provide technical support for Abrams tanks within the budget of the US army and using funds earmarked for military assistance to Kyiv, Report informs referring to a statement issued by the Defense Department.

The work will be carried out in the city of Sterling Heights (Michigan), with an estimated completion date of December 31, 2024, the Pentagon said.

The contract amount includes, in particular, funds to help Ukraine in the field of security.
