Pakistan's security forces have killed 29 militants during an anti‑terror operation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, near the Afghan border, Pakistan's Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar announced.
According to Report, Tarar said that the operation was based on intelligence data. Following ground operations, strikes were carried out on hideouts and camps of Jamaat‑ul‑Ahrar and Fitna al‑Khawarij along the Pakistan–Afghanistan border.
Three militant facilities, including weapons and ammunition depots, were destroyed.
Tarar stressed that counterterrorism operations will continue until all threats to national security are eliminated.
The Pakistani military reported that since the beginning of 2025, 2,597 militants have been killed in the country. During the same period, 5,397 terrorist attacks occurred, resulting in 1,235 deaths.
