Pakistan provides Afghanistan with intelligence about terrorist groups

Pakistan has provided the interim government of Afghanistan with intelligence information about terrorist groups in the country, Pakistani MFA spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said in a weekly press briefing, Report informs via TASS.

“We have sent intelligence to Kabul about terrorist groups in Afghanistan and are in constant contact with Afghan officials on this matter,” Baloch said.

The diplomat noted that there is growing concern in Islamabad about the continued use of Afghan territory for terrorist attacks against Pakistan.

“This concern was brought to the attention of a representative of the Afghan embassy who was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to deliver Pakistan’s strong demarche over the deadly terrorist attack on Bannu Cantonment on July 15, 2024, which resulted in the death of ten Pakistani servicemen,” Baloch said.
