Over 40 people detained in protests in Ghana

The Ghana Police Service has disclosed that about 42 Democracy Hub demonstrators have been detained on Sunday, September 22 for participating in a number of unlawful activities.

Report informs via The protesters who had gathered at the 37 intersection were seen, according to the police, pushing down police crash barriers, obstructing traffic, causing unlawful damage, disturbing the peace, and attacking police officers as they carried out their official duties.

One of the protesters, Oliver Vormawor was also captured on camera as he entered a police vehicle and took out the ignition key before throwing it away.

According to the statement, released by the police, these 42 suspects will be arraigned before the court while the others who are on the run, including the leader, Oliver Vormawor, are being hunted.
