Oppositionist tries to attack Iranian Deputy FM in Vienna

An Iranian oppositionist working in exile tried today in Vienna to attack Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Report informs referring to TASS.

As noted, Araghchi held talks with the Secretary-General of the External Action Service Enrique Mora. After that, a representative of the Iranian opposition insulted the diplomat and tried to attack him but was prevented from doing so.

According to the report, representatives of the Iranian non-systemic opposition gathered in front of the hotel in Vienna, where the meeting of the Joint Commission on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was taking place. They were protesting against the negotiation of a nuclear deal. The Iranian Embassy in Vienna called on the local authorities to provide security for the Iranian delegation.
