An oil tanker has been hit by an explosion in the Strait of Hormuz after colliding with a sea mine, Report informs referring to Fars News Agency.
The tanker was traveling in a route contrary to the maritime routes designated by the Iranian authorities.
The agency quoted its sources as saying that the incident occurred after the tanker collided with a sea mine, without immediately clarifying the extent of the damage or whether there were any casualties or oil spills resulting from the explosion.
