Most of the workplaces, cafes, and restaurants have reopened after a hundred days of self-isolation regime in New York, which was the epicenter of America’s coronavirus pandemic.
Report’s special correspondent says more than 400,000 people have returned to work in the city with 20 million population and five big districts.
New York authorities made it mandatory to use a medical mask indoors since people without face coverings are not allowed to enter markets, shopping malls, cafes, and restaurants. Moreover, residents are required to keep at least 3 meters distance. As a result, people flocked to cafes and restaurants.
New York subway disinfects all trains from 01:00 p.m. to 05:00 a.m, warning boards have been set up in the tubes to follow social distancing. There are also disinfectants at each station.
Notably, tens of thousands have fell victim to coronavirus in New York over the past three months. Except for pharmacies, markets, and hospitals, all public catering facilities, workplaces, and educational institutions were closed. The city will return to normal life in four stages. Now the second phase of the program is underway. The last stage envisages restoring the activities of educational institutions.
