New US ambassador to Ukraine arrives in Kyiv

US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink has arrived in the city of Kyiv to start her mission as the head of the US Embassy in Ukraine.

The relevant statement was made by the US Embassy in Ukraine, Report informs, citing Ukrinform.

“Ambassador Brink was nominated by President Biden to be US Ambassador to Ukraine on April 25, 2022, confirmed unanimously by the US Senate on May 18, 2022, and arrived in Kyiv on May 29, 2022,” the report states.

A reminder that Bridget Brink served as US Ambassador to the Slovak Republic from August 15, 2019, until her confirmation as Ambassador to Ukraine. As Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine started, Brink visited the Slovak-Ukrainian border to monitor the admission of Ukrainian refugees and the provision of humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
