The Netherlands urges Russia to immediately resume the implementation of the "grain deal", as it is important to prevent a rise in food prices, Foreign Minister Wopke Hoekstra wrote on Twitter.
"It is disappointing that Russia obstructs the extension of the Black Sea Grain Initiative. Extending the deal is important to prevent food prices from rising and to avoid market destabilisation. The Netherlands urges Russia to resume the implementation of the Black Sea Grain Initiative without delay," he said.
Meanwhile, Germany called on the Russian side to extend the "grain deal" for a longer period.
"We continue to call on Russia to allow a further extension of the grain deal," government spokeswoman Christiane Hoffmann told reporters.
