Negotiations of leaders of Russia, Turkey, Germany and France will last three hours in Istanbul

Baku. 27 October. REPORT.AZ/ The talks of the leaders of Russia, Turkey, Germany and France on Syria in Istanbul, today will take three hours.

Report informs citing the RIA Novosti, a number of bilateral meetings of the participants will take place before the summit, the start of the four-party talks is scheduled for 15.00 local time (16.00 Baku time).

It is assumed that following the results of the discussion four leaders will make a statement to the press at 18.00 (19.00 Baku time).

Notably, the quadripartite summit on Syria in Istanbul will be held in the palace "Vahideddin" - a manor that belonged to the last Sultan of the Ottoman Empire, Mehmed VI Wahid ed-din. Currently, the palace, restoration of which was completed in 2014, is used as the Anatolian office of the Turkish President.

This is the first meeting on Syria in this format. Initially, the summit was scheduled for September, but did not take place due to the schedule of the leaders.
