N. Korea's spy satellite takes photos of US bases in California, Japan

North Korea says its spy satellite has taken imagery of the US Kadena Air Base in Japan's southwestern prefecture of Okinawa, Report informs, citing NHK.

Rodong Sinmun, the ruling Workers' Party newspaper, said that the country's leader, Kim Jong Un, received satellite photos taken on Wednesday morning.

The newspaper says the images were submitted by the Pyongyang General Control Center of the country's aerospace administration.

It says Kim also received photos of the San Diego Naval Base in the US state of California and the Suez Canal in Egypt.
