The level of Islamophobia in France has reached such enormous proportions that the country can be said to be famous for it throughout the world, the managing director of the British independent human rights organization CAGE, Muhammad Rabbani, said at the international conference “Neo-colonialism: violation of human rights and injustice”, organized by the Baku Initiative Group (BIG), Report informs.
According to the human rights activist, France infringes on the rights of even its own citizens.
“A Muslim in France will be an outcast in society if he doesn’t live by its rules. For example, a Muslim girl may not be allowed to attend school, she can be deprived of her right to education, just because she dresses in accordance with the requirements of her religion. Again, the policy of double standards,” he said.
