Montenegro relaxes entry rules for tourists

The Montenegro authorities have updated the requirements for the entry of foreign tourists into the country, they will be valid until January 19, with the possibility of extension, Report informs referring to the RTCG portal.

"The Ministry of Health of Montenegro announced new rules for entering the country, according to which, from January 13, foreign travelers can enter if at least one of the four conditions of the EU digital COVID-19 certificate is fulfilled. The requirements have changed due to the improvement of the epidemiological situation," the newspaper writes.

According to Montenegro Health Minister Jelena Borovinic Bojovic, in the next seven days it will be possible to enter subject to one of the points of the EU COVID certificate: the tourist must be fully vaccinated, and no more than six months must pass from the moment the second dose of the drug is administered.

Alternatively, a negative PCR test done no earlier than 72 hours before the trip, or an express test done no earlier than 48 hours, are suitable.
