Moldova exposes Russian spy network

Moldovan special services have released information about exposing of a spy network connected to the Russian Federation, Director of Moldova’s Security and Intelligence Service executive, Alexandru Musteata, told a briefing, Report informs.

The director said that Russian citizens Yuri G. and Vadim I. have involved Moldovans in espionage activities since 2020.

Moldovan security officials believe that the Russians collected provocative information about the plans of Moldovan MPs, and the government and organized campaigns on social networks. Musteata noted that $500,000 were transferred from Russia to Moldova through crypto-currency and other systems for the implementation of those tasks.
