Michel expects resumption of discussions on Russia's frozen assets in EU

European Council President Charles Michel expects that the leaders of the EU countries will give a new impetus to discussions about channeling funds from the frozen assets of the Bank of Russia to support Ukraine.

Report informs via TASS that in an interview with the Financial Times, he said there is a strong political interest in making progress and resolving this issue.

According to the EC, the EU countries have frozen 300 billion euros of assets of Russia's Central Bank and up to 20 billion euros of assets of Russian businessmen.
