MFA: Moldovan citizens to get online permit to travel to EU

From November 2023, citizens of Moldova will need to register in the European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) to travel to the European Union, Spokesperson of the Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Daniel Voda said on Telegram, Report informs.

According to Daniel Voda, Moldovan citizens will receive an electronic permit to travel to the Schengen zone.

“A travel permit will be mandatory for persons aged 18 to 70 and cost 7 euros. The EU is currently planning to launch ETIAS in November 2023,” he said.

Voda noted that the EU travel permit will be valid for three years or until the passport expires.
