Belarus maintains its diplomatic presence in Syria, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA, Report informs.
The ministry explained how the Belarusian embassy in Syria will work further in connection with the latest news and the current development of events. As it was reported earlier, in the light of the situation on the ground the diplomats of the Belarusian embassy in Syria returned to Minsk.
"We currently maintain our diplomatic presence in Syria. From the perspective of the international law, nothing has changed. We continue our diplomatic and interstate relations. However, given logistic issues and other ones, we’ve decided to organize the work of the Belarusian diplomatic mission from the territory of Lebanon at this stage," the press service said.
