Merkel refused to wear hijab in meeting with King of Saudi Arabia

Baku. 1 May. REPORT.AZ/ German Chancellor Angela Merkel has arrived in Saudi Arabia without a headscarf ahead of talks with King Salman.

Report informs citing the foreign media.

Saudi Arabia has a strict dress code for women, but Merkel refused to follow the rules.

In addition to meeting with the King of Saudi Arabia, Chancellor also met with Saudi women entrepreneurs.
