Media: Militants kill 150 civilians in Ethiopia

Militants from the Oromo Liberation Army killed at least 150 civilians over the past week, the Ethiopian human rights commission said on Thursday.

Report informs, citing Reuters, that the militants attacked the residents of the Jida Kiremi region in the western part of the state of Oromia.

The Oromo Liberation Army, a military wing of the Oromo Liberation Front, often acts independently. It says its goal is to achieve the independence of the Ethiopian state of Oromo. Federal authorities declared the Oromo Liberation Army as a terrorist organization. The grouping leaders said they reached an agreement with the Tigrayan People's Liberation Front to overthrow the Ethiopian government.
