Media: Macron's rating hits new anti-record

French President Emmanuel Macron's approval rating has fallen to a record low, with only 17% of French people supporting the head of state, reads a study by Verian-Epoka company conducted for Figaro Magazine, Report informs.

The study results show that the French president's popularity has dropped by another 5 percentage points to 17%, which is Macron's lowest level of support since his election as head of state in 2017.

"Another 78% of respondents said they were dissatisfied with the president's activities. His support is even weaker than during the height of the 'yellow vests' crisis," the study states.

Macron's decline in popularity is linked to the dissolution of parliament in June - French people did not understand this move. In September of this year, the French people's trust rating in Emmanuel Macron decreased by three points to 22%.
