Marine Le Pen: EU endangers member countries

In a recent interview with the Spanish newspaper El Periódico, Marine Le Pen, the leader of the French parliamentary group National Rally, said she believes the European Union poses a danger to its member countries, according to Report, which cites foreign media.

Le Pen emphasized that the commonalities between Spain and France are far more significant than their differences.

"Considering that the European Union endangers all our nations, it's logical that we fight together," she stated.

The French politician drew a clear distinction between the EU and Europe as a whole.

"The EU is not Europe, it's just a particular form of continental cooperation that has shown little benefit to our economies and countries over several decades," Le Pen asserted.

She also called for reforming the EU to grant more authority to member states.
