The Manchester Airport in the United Kingdom has temporarily closed its runways due to heavy snowfall.
According to Report, the airport announced the closure on its official social media account, stating that their teams are working diligently to clear the runways as quickly as possible.
The UK Met Office has issued a "yellow" weather warning for snow and ice, covering most of the country. The severe weather conditions have also affected other airports in the region, with Leeds Bradford International Airport in England warning passengers of expected disruptions to flights.
According to Sky News, several British airports were forced to close their runways on Sunday due to the heavy snowfall, resulting in numerous flight delays and diversions. Some regions in Britain reported more than 10 centimeters (4 inches) of snow accumulation.
