Malta announces readiness to assume OSCE chairmanship in 2024

Malta is ready to take over the OSCE chairmanship in 2024 if Estonia's candidacy is not approved, Prime Minister of Malta Robert Abela said at a joint press conference with Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer.

"You know that Estonia is the official candidate. It is also known that a number of countries are against this. Malta’s candidacy for the post of OSCE Chairmanship was proposed as an alternative... I think we are well prepared for this," he said.
