Macron's rating drops to record low

Three-quarters of French residents expressed dissatisfaction with the country's President Emmanuel Macron.

According to Report, this is evidenced by the results of a poll conducted by Ifop company for the Journal du Dimanche newspaper.

The publication notes that never since the looting of the Arc de Triomphe at the height of the Yellow Vests crisis in December 2018 has the president's popularity rating fallen to 25%, while the disapproval rating has not risen to 75%.

The publication notes that Macron is mainly accused of a "disproportionate ego that has spoiled him," as well as the "fiasco of dissolving" the parliament.

The Ifop poll also showed that 55% of French people are dissatisfied with Prime Minister Michel Barnier, although his government, as noted in the article, has not yet taken any actions.

The survey was conducted from September 11 to 20, with 2,098 people participating in a quota-based sample.

The margin of error for the results is between 1 and 1.4 percentage points.
