Lithuania to expel charge d'affaires of Russia

Lithuania will expel Russia's Charge d'Affaires Sergey Ryabokon, as he was declared persona non grata. The diplomat must leave Lithuania within five days, Report informs, citing the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry.

"This decision of Lithuania was made taking into account the information provided by the competent authorities substantiating the fact that the recent actions and statements of Sergey Ryabokon are incompatible with the status of a diplomat, can be regarded as interference in the internal affairs of the host state and therefore are considered a violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations," the ministry said.
