Le Drian cancels meeting with Lavrov

French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian stated on Tuesday he will not be meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov on Friday, Report informs, citing foreign media.

Speaking to reporters following the encounter of the foreign ministers of the European Union's members, Le Drian added he had a "lengthy" telephone call with Lavrov earlier in the day instead.

The two were supposed to meet on February 25 in Paris.
