Latvia records lowest birth rate in last 100 years

The number of births in Latvia continues to decrease, Report informs, citing foreign media sources.

According to the preliminary data of the Central Statistics Office, 15,535 children were born in 2022, which is the lowest birth rate in the last 100 years and by 10.8% or 1,885 newborns less than in 2021,
