Kazakh deputy FM: Creation of nuclear-free zones helps to strengthen trust between countries

The International Conference on Strengthening Cooperation among Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zones is an important tool for maintaining trust between countries, First Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Akan Rakhmetullin told the Kazakh bureau of Report.

He noted that the practice of creating nuclear-weapon-free zones is a "powerful tool" in the area of ​​non-proliferation.

"Today's conference brought together all non-nuclear countries that have committed themselves not to develop, test or use nuclear weapons. The two-day meeting will allow us to discuss ways of peaceful nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation," he added.
