European diplomats will visit Damascus to establish contacts with the new authorities, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Kaja Kallas said before the start of the EU Foreign Ministers meeting in Brussels.
"I have instructed senior European diplomats in Syria to visit Damascus to establish contacts with the new government and people on the ground. We will also discuss today at the Foreign Ministers' meeting how we will interact with Syria's new authorities," she said.
