Joint coordination center on grain starts operations in Istanbul

The joint coordination center has started operations in Istanbul as part of the implementation of the regulations of the Initiative of mutual understanding on safe transportation of grain from the ports of Ukraine, the Russian Defense Ministry told journalists, Report informs, citing TASS.

"The joint coordination center in Istanbul started operations under the regulations of the Initiative on Mutual Understanding on the Safe Transportation of Grain from the Ukrainian ports," the Russian defense ministry said.

As specified in the Russian Defense Ministry, an advanced group of Russian experts will arrive in Istanbul on July 26. They will start working in a quadripartite format. "The Russian delegation is headed by Rear Admiral Eduard Luik. The main task of the Russian specialists in the center will be to promptly resolve all the necessary issues to bring the initiative to the stage of practical implementation," the ministry noted, emphasizing that the activities of Russian representatives in the center are under special control in Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
