Johnson to meet Biden during his 4-day visit to US

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson will meet with US President Joe Biden as part of his four-day visit to the United States for participation in the opening of the UN General Assembly, Report informs, citing The Times.

The next session of the UN General Assembly will open on September 14. General discussions will continue on September 21-27.

The sides are expected to discuss the situation between London and Washington after the troops' withdrawal from Afghanistan. Another purpose of the meeting between the two leaders will be preparing for the UN Climate Change Conference to be held in Glasgow on November 1-12.

The Times noted that the United States plans to donate $100 billion to the international fight against climate change. But London is concerned that this amount won't reduce the volumes of carbon emitted to the atmosphere by developing countries.
