President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov has emphasized the importance of expanding trade, economic, investment, and industrial cooperation, as well as interaction in energy, transport, logistics, and the digital economy within the CIS, Report's correspondent in Turkmenistan informs citing Japarov's speech at a meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State.
The president also stressed the importance of developing cooperation in the agro-industrial complex and innovation.
In addition, Japarov outlined prospects for interaction in tourism and the development of mountain regions, inviting the leaders of CIS countries to take part in the Second Global Mountain Summit Bishkek+25, which will be held in Kyrgyzstan in October 2027.
As part of cultural and humanitarian cooperation, the President of Kyrgyzstan proposed holding joint events under the auspices of the CIS in 2028 to mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of Kyrgyz writer Chingiz Aitmatov.
Japarov also reaffirmed Kyrgyzstan's readiness to continue contributing to the strengthening of the CIS.
