Japan's Kishida calls for increase in number of UNSC's permanent, non-permanent members

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida called for a wider representation of Africa in the UN Security Council, as well as for an increase in the number of permanent and non-permanent members.

Report informs via TASS that the prime minister made such a statement at the UN General Assembly.

"The world is changing dramatically. We need a Security Council that reflects today's world. Japan supports greater representation of Africa. It is necessary to expand both permanent and non-permanent membership in the Security Council," he said.
