Italy seizes 2 billion euros worth of property belonging to Russians subject to EU sanctions

The Italian authorities have seized the property of Russian business people worth more than 2 billion euros over the past year against the backlash of the Ukrainian war, Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani said, Report informs via TASS.

“We also want to be one of the main participants in the reconstruction of Ukraine. Italy is among the countries that freeze the most funds of Russian oligarchs. We are talking about over 2 billion euros that can be used for the reconstruction of Ukraine. We will organize an event in Rome in the coming weeks to develop the plan and attract as many companies as possible,” the minister told La Stampa.
