Italian police confiscate more than 4 tons of cocaine during international investigation

Employees of the Financial Guard of the Trieste have confiscated 4.3 tons of cocaine, according to Corriere della Sera, Report informs, citing TASS.

According to the investigators, the matter is about one of the biggest confiscations of drugs in Europe. According to the edition, nearly 2 million euros in cash have also been confiscated. The preventive measures were applied to 38 people in Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Netherlands, and Columbia. They are accused of international drug trafficking.

The investigation lasted for more than a year; it involved the law enforcement bodies of Columbia and the United States.
