Irish PM calls on citizens to refrain from visiting Ukraine

The Irish citizens should refrain from unnecessary visits to Ukraine amid ongoing tensions on the Russian-Ukrainian border, Prime Minister Micheál Martin said during his speech at Doyle Eren (Lower Chamber of the Parliament), Report informs.

According to the Prime Minister, thousands of Russian troops are currently located near the Ukrainian border, which is a cause for concern in Dublin.

Martin added that Ireland supports a diplomatic solution to the situation based on the principles of respect for the territorial integrity of states and democracy.
