The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Iran's elite military force, has apprehended eight members of terrorist groups in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan.
Report informs via TASS that among those arrested was an individual linked to the tragic attack on October 26 in the Gouhar Kuh district of Taftan, which claimed the lives of 10 law enforcement officers.
According to IRGC representative Ahmad Shefai, the operation also resulted in the elimination of four additional terrorists.
"During the operation <...> in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, eight members of terrorist groups were identified and arrested, while another four were killed," Shefai stated, according to Tasnim.
In addition to the arrests, the elite forces also seized a substantial cache of weapons and ammunition from the terrorist cells.
