An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attacked the US military base of Ain al-Assad in the Iraqi province of Anbar, according to Shiite armed formations that are part of the Islamic Front for the Iraqi Resistance, Report informs referring to TASS.
According to the movement’s statement published on the Telegram channel, the strike on Ain al-Assad was carried out “in response to the enemy’s crimes in the Gaza Strip.” According to supporters of the movement, the UAV “hit the intended target.” No information is provided about the damage caused.
The last time the Ain al-Assad base was attacked was on November 23. Then, a base located near Erbil International Airport in Iraqi Kurdistan in northern Iraq was also hit by drone strikes from the Islamic Front for the Iraqi Resistance.
