Iranian Foreign Ministry sends note to Australia

Iran’s Foreign Ministry has summoned Australia’s charge d'affaires in Tehran after Canberra imposed sanctions on several senior Islamic Republic officials and organizations, Report informs referring to IRNA.

The Foreign Ministry summoned a diplomat to protest Australia's actions to impose "illegal and unjustified sanctions."

The Foreign Ministry told the diplomat that the Islamic Republic reserves the right to respond to Australia's move.

The diplomat, in turn, noted that Iran's position will be brought to the attention of the government in Canberra.
