Iran suspends all flights to Syria until January 22

Iranian companies have cancelled all flights to Syria until January 22 due to the lack of agreements with the new authorities in Damascus, said the head of Iran's Civil Aviation Organization, Hossein Pourfarzaneh, Report informs.

"Currently, flights to Syria are prohibited until January 22 [...], but there are no restrictions regarding Lebanon," he said.

The head of the organization added that to resume air traffic, it is necessary to obtain permissions from the destination country. He noted that a similar situation is observed with Egypt.

"The authorities of both countries must come to a unified decision so that we can operate flights from Iran to Egypt and back," Pourfarzaneh added.
