Iran Foreign Ministry discusses today's talks with European troika

Tehran held a "serious, frank and detailed" dialogue with the E3 (United Kingdom, France, Germany).

As Report informs, with reference to Iranian media, this was announced by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran Kazem Gharibabadi.

According to Gharibabadi, both sides came to the meeting with specific ideas, various aspects of which were considered.

"The latest developments related to the issue of lifting sanctions and the nuclear problem were discussed and reviewed. It was decided that consultations on this issue will continue," he concluded.

Today in Istanbul, the second round of negotiations between Iran, Great Britain, France and Germany took place at the level of deputy foreign ministers on Tehran's nuclear program.

The meeting was held behind closed doors in the building of the Consulate General of Iran. The consultations lasted about three and a half hours.

The first meeting between Iran and the E3 took place on May 16, also in Istanbul. At that time, the parties agreed to maintain contacts in parallel with the ongoing indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States.
