Iran demands immediate US troop withdrawal from Syria

Iran has called for the United States to immediately and completely withdraw its military contingent from Syria, according to Report, which cites TASS.

This demand was made by Iran's Permanent Representative to the UN, Amir Saeed Iravani, during a UN Security Council meeting on the humanitarian and political situation in Syria.

Iravani stated, "For peace and stability in Syria, a complete, immediate, and unconditional withdrawal of American troops from the country is necessary."

He further accused the US forces of engaging in activities contrary to their stated mission, saying, "Instead of fighting terrorism, they continue to steal oil, rob the Syrian people, and support groups designated as terrorist by the UN, such as Jabhat al-Nusra and Hayat Tahrir al-Sham."
